Self study playing with style and ink pens. :)
Well I have a terrible scanner… Anyways this is my first dragon concept. In all honesty I don’t do any kind of creature design. But I was given an opportunity to work on a project for my university’s animation department, where they needed new dragon models for students to practice animating and rigging. So they asked a couple of students for concepts. So here is my attempt.
More to come.
Y’know how you tell yourself you’re going to do something or make a change but never do it? Hopefully I can do it this Summer. Trying to transition out of my lazy state of recovery after killing myself during last semester :P Fiddling with stuff at the moment.
My 2nd GAM 233: Elements of Digital Painting Final. All my texture cubes done through out the semester. Wonderful studies. Made me hate painting. (Not really but I cried. I cry a lot)
My class was inspired by the 100 Texture Studies by Vesner on DA.
Any artist wanting to learn how to paint, or wants to improve themselves should take up this challenge.
My GAM 233: Elements of Digital Painting final. Edited out Johnny Depp’s tattoos and some other details due to lack of time but hey, I never thought I could paint this kind of portrait. Damn did this class kick my ass, but I sure as hell improved and I’m proud :)
Edited my bald portrait from Week 12 with 3 different hairstyles. The short hairstyle is unfinished because my tablet decided to act like a mouse instead of a tablet midway. :/
Week 13 Portrait with Hair. This week I did Emma Watson with short hair since she looks cute in short hair. :3 Lost a lot of time since I went to Florida for my brother’s graduation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautic University. So fudged some stuff, hopefully it’s still okay
Week 12: Portraits and skin. The assignment was to paint a portrait of anyone but make them bald. I thought I did a pretty good job with this for my 1st portrait :D But I got torn apart by my instructor… Ooohh… *sobs*

Week 11, final week for cubes! WHOOOO!! MADE IT! Didn’t die, cried a lot, but didn’t die.
This week was transparent materials: Ice, glass, amber and glass marble. Only 4 cubes as a present from my teacher :)
Week 10 Synthetic Materials 3. Not really my best. Topic was fabrics so it goes burlap, wool, leather, cotton, denim, and satin.
Week 9 Synthetic Materials 2. This week sucks. Candle wax, cardboard box, yarn, weaved basket, blanket and trash bag… This week hurt, it hurt a lot. Only the candle and cardboard box are actually finished. Heh… orz
Week 8 Synthetic Materials! Topic was clay, plastic and rubber so the cubes were: Lego brick, Rubik’s cube, beige rubber eraser, play-dough, kneaded eraser and modeling clay.
So after Spring Break here’s Week 7 Special Effects. (Not really special effects but this is how my teacher grouped them) So we have fire, slime, sparkling dust, molten/cool lava, natural sponge, and internal organs. So sponge and organs killed me. They were really hard especially looking up reference for organs… *sob*
Also another update on stones. Not too much but did the most work on the brick, fixed the perspective on my sandstone and added a little more color variant on my limestone (but hard to see).
Week 6 Food Cubes! I WAS SO HUNGRY DOING THIS X_X
And also an update on my stone cubes. Stayed up finishing these and then the teacher gave AN EXTRA WEEK to do them after we had a month… FUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHH!!!!!! I mean okay, I did them in 3 days but if I stayed up and got no sleep working on them then he should at least look at them T_T
